Went for a meal at the Langley arms today. Two of the three beers on offer were being taken back by customers, and described by one customer as rotten. Chicken curry tasted like the old vesta curry of years past, chicken fillet in sauce OK. Would not rush back.
Love it here staff friendly food good plenty of choice lots of room off the main bar with sofas and quirky decor
Christmas menu looked lovely but on the night the food was poor , prawns were the smallest I've ever seen and tasted awful, roast was nice that's why I gave 2 stars, brownie very dry, children's meals came out on plates that would burn you, mince pies under cooked and very little mince inside... would return for a carvery roast but not a full meal .
Nice, clean, rooms with vintage feel. Reasonably priced. Floor boards very creaky! The adjoining pub/restaurant very pleasant. Good selection of hearty English meals. The steak & kidney pie was very nice
Nice. Had an afternoon drinking and chatting with some lunch. Friendly staff, fair prices but the food was a bit off. I had steak and kidney pie. The pastry was hard, like it had been from the day before, or reheated. Saying that, would happily go back again.
